Crunchips makes it rain crisps and prizes - virtually in your own living room. A code on the packaging takes users to a Web AR competition. A virtual wheel of fortune decides who wins prizes for the next party.
For the first time, we combined the traditional online competition for Crunchips promotional packs with an AR experience for smartphones. To do this, we changed the popular focal point into a virtual experience in which consumers could pop the goods to reveal their winnings. The result was a playful community check-in
and clear data on user engagement: The majority opted for the experience versus the "old way" of revealing the result. Along with the experience, we were responsible for developing social media content to increase awareness and reach.
